World in Porcelain Exhibit From September 14 to January 19, the SDCHM will host an exhibit dedicated to the trading product that represented China most on the Maritime Silk Road: porcelain. This exhibit is making its United States debut in San Diego, as it's a privately owned collection spanning more than three centuries, from the mid 1500's to the early 1800's. On the second Saturday of each month from 11am-12pm, hear from one of our docents about the early history of the Museum downtown area in the late 1880's and 1890's. You will learn about pertinent places that are original and still in existence, such as the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association and the Quin Residence.
