The 35th Annual San Diego Chinese New Year Fair

Family Fun at the San Diego Chinese New Year Fair!

Bring the entire family including the little ones to the 35th Annual San Diego Chinese New Year Fair and experience unforgettable family fun at SDCHM! On Sunday ONLY, special guest Dr. Virginia Loh-Hagan will read from her award-winning book, Paper Son and her newly published book, Popo’s Lucky Chinese New Year. Dr. Loh-Hagan will be available for a meet and greet and will also sign books after the reading. Books available for purchase in the Museum garden.

Also enjoy traditional and cultural entertainment all day long on both days including Lion Dancers, kung fu, traditional instruments, classic Chinese dances, and so much more!

Make sure to stop by the Museum for our special exhibition “Radical Machines: Chinese in the Information Age” at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Extension building to find out how you can type a language with no alphabet and to learn about the evolution of the Chinese typewriter!
