Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Extension

About the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Extension

The Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Extension is the museum’s newest showcase for rotating art, cultural and historic exhibitions. Its three bay windows display the history of Old Chinatown, the art of Chinese medicine and artifacts from the daily life of early Chinese immigrants. An imposing statue of the First Emperor welcomes visitors at the front door. And once inside, visitors enjoy a large gallery that doubles as a lecture hall, a library of books in Chinese and English, intricate models of Old Chinatown buildings and a souvenir store.
