Strokes of Elegance - Paintings by Zhou Ping-Guang
Ping-Guang Zhou was born in 1955 and began studying traditional Chinese art at an early age. Over time, he has learned to adapt ancient Chinese painting concepts to his own style. His art combines the highly decorative gongbi technique with modern artistic feeling to produce a unique style of painting. He is best known for bird and flower motifs, painting cranes, peacocks, plum blossoms and peonies that are brilliant in color and distinct in theme. Ping-Guang Zhou has taught at the Sichuan Art Institute and now instructs students in his own studio in San Gabriel, CA.
