This exhibit shared the Chinese immigrant experience highlighted with quotes from five Chinese-Americans: Dr. Y.C. Fung, George Yim, Ah Quin, Gorman Fong and Dorothy Hom. Each of these people achieved their own version of the "American Dream" by different means and for different reasons. The text of the exhibit was developed from personal interviews and historical research and was displayed with personal and historic photographs relevant to each person's story. This exhibit was partially funded by a grant from the California Council for the Humanities.
