World in Porcelain Exhibit From September 14 to January 19, the SDCHM will host an exhibit dedicated to the trading product that represented China most on the Maritime Silk Road: porcelain. This exhibit is making its United States debut in San Diego, as it's a privately owned collection spanning more than three centuries, from the mid 1500's to the early 1800's. Chinese people decorate their houses with peach tree branches during Chinese New Year. “红桃” (hong tao) sounds like “hong tu” in Cantonese. “鸿图”(hung4 tou4)means ambition and  a wish for a bright future.
